Getting Married? Make Your First Dance Extra Special

Clubbing? Sure. Ballroom dancing? Fill a room with a great crowd doing the cha cha, the waltz and the rumba and the party is on a whole new level where chic-ness reigns the room.
Enter: Dance With Me, Soho’s renowned ballroom studio offering Gilt City members private and group classes, yes; but also the amazing opportunity to practice your moves during a dance party in its gorgeous Broome Street loft.
This seductive studio is the brainchild of Sasha Chmerkovskiy and his son Maksim, a dancer who you may have seen performing on “Dancing with the Stars”. They opened the acclaimed center with ballroom enthusiast Jhanna Volynets in 2005—and since then, they’ve put together a team of the most talented instructors around.
Clients’ testimonials celebrate Dance With Me for its ability to take them out of their comfort zones and into a world of music and extravagance.
Whether you go solo or bring your beau for a couple’s lesson, you’ll be tearing up the floor in this classic Soho loft.

Private Party For birthday or bachelorette, rent out Dance With Me’s Soho loft and dance with your friends. It’s fun. It’s chic. (And it burns calories.)

Small Beginnings Co-founder Maksim Chmerkovskiy began ballroom dancing at age 4—and by age 16, he was teaching private classes. He opened his first studio with his father, Sasha, when he was only 17 years old—laying the groundwork for what would one day be Dance With Me.

"Sesame Street Live" Meet and Greet

Attention parents: the live show is here that tells you how to get, how to get to Sesame Street Live.
Gilt City parents can join Elmo and friends at The Theater at Madison Square Garden for any performance on February 18, 19 or 20. Throw in a voucher for soda and popcorn to really delight your Gilt City kids.
You can even introduce your kids to the characters during a meet and greet at the 5:30 show on the 18th.
The story: “Elmo’s Green Thumb” stars the furry little guy and Sunny, his new sunflower friend. Elmo enlists his fairy buddy Abby Cadabby to cast a spell to make Sunny grow even faster—but ends up shrinking Elmo and his friends instead.
You know you loved it back in your first decade—and this will bring it all back. The ninety-minute production is filled with moving sets, bold, engaging colors, and music and dancing galore. And seeing all the Sesame Street regulars like Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Oscar the Grouch and others may just bring back happy memories for parents of all ages as well.
Just promise us you won’t get too excited and give Elmo a tickle.

Up Close and Personal Make your kids squeal with delight by introducing them to the characters they (and you!) love so much: The 5:30 performance on February 18th will feature a meet and greet with the cast.
Big Bird and Co. “Elmo’s Green Thumb” not only features the adorable red guy and his new potted friend Sunny singing and dancing: Big Bird, the Count, Cookie Monster and all the other regulars are also on stage.
Easy Being Green Through their adventures in Big Bird’s garden, the characters discover the virtues ecological diversity and stewardship—and even dance with giant ladybugs! And meet grouchy beetles and ogle butterflies.

50% Off Group Lessons and Private V-Day Couple's Classes

Just a thought: but after work, a samba, salsa or little hustle may be just the romantic break you and your partner could really get into.
Thanks to NY Wedding and Partner Dance, Gilt City members are now invited to join in the fun with a couple’s group dance class—replete with champagne punch, to get those gams limber—or a private couple’s dance class for more intimate sways.
With classes ranging from hustle to hip-hop, salsa to samba, both sexes can delight in private or group courses taught by a fun, talented staff of hand-picked, multi-genre dancers. Operating in conjunction with furniture store Furnish Green—which shares owner Nathan Hescock—the studios are well-designed, with hardwood finishes and refined pieces.
So whether you’re looking to perfect that wedding waltz or just get closer to your love—after all, nothing says romance like syncopated steps and a close-facing gaze—it’s time to get moving.

U.N.-Approved Founder Nathan Hescock is currently the ballroom instructor at the United Nations.
Professional Ballet Dancers Staff includes dancers from Copley Square Ballet, Baltimore Ballet, and Colorado Ballet.
Convenient Location Based on Broadway and 32nd Street, transportation is a breeze.
